If you know me, you know my maiden name is Bee. A bee themed cake smash has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I was so excited when someone finally chose it. This baby girl is SO cute, and I love the way she just dove face first into the cake.

Whew it’s been a year, am I right? I feel like March through May crawled by, and I think I blinked, and June was gone. At the beginning of June, I decided to start taking on studio cake smashes again, and it is so therapeutic to be back to doing what I love. I love seeing your sweet babies come in and see me for a fun session!
This session was my very first in studio session after being shut down. I had bought all the props, outfits, backdrops, etc before we all went into quarantine, so all of these super cute items were calling my name until I was able to use them. What an amazing first session to get back into it with!
Baby girl was having a circus themed first birthday party, so I had way too much fun with this theme. All the pastels, sparkles, props, I loved the way this turned out!

It’s been a while for blogging! I feel like I should have more time to blog, but becoming a homeschool teacher takes more time than expected, and after using electronics to teach on for a bit makes the idea of getting on the computer seem like a lot.
I miss cake smashes so much! Before we all went into quarantine, I had a couple of cake smashes scheduled and ready to go that ended up having to be cancelled that I was SO excited about. I’m hoping to be back to being able to schedule soon, and you’re going to see some super cute kiddos and themes.
This little man. He came in with his sweet family, and he was the MOST enthusiastic cake smasher ever. You can’t tell from the pictures, but I was pretty much rapid firing my camera because I think this cake smash lasted 3 minutes before that cake was completely gone. Mom requested a Twinkle Twinkle theme because it is his favorite song, and I’m absolutely in love with how this setup came out. If anyone wants to do this theme again, I would be thrilled.
Baby’s mom is another local photographer that started her business around the same time as I started mine, so I’ve always felt like we shared that in common. She’s super sweet and TALENTED, so when she came to me for a cake smash, it was just about the biggest compliment you can receive as a photographer. Thank you again Lela for choosing me! Your family is gorgeous.

Anchorage Cake Smash Photographer | "D" Space Cake Smash!
It’s been SO cold up here in Alaska! I'm seriously missing that heat that we had over the summer that never seemed to end. We still somehow manage to get ourselves and our kiddos out the door for some winter activities, but if it would just warm up to 10-20 degrees, that would be great, thanks. I don’t want the snow to melt, but I’m also tired of my face hurting if I’ve been outside for longer than 30 seconds.
One thing that brightens my winter, is cake smashes! These sessions ARE SO MUCH FUN. I get to be creative with the sets, and I get to watch kids eat their very own cake and take photos. This session was special for me, because I was definitely raised in a house that enjoyed astronomy, so when this momma came to me and asked for a space themed cake smash, I was all over it. Little man came in and was super adorable, so it all came together perfectly! If anyone else wants to do a space themed cake smash, I’m in love and will definitely do it over again.
