Anchorage Child Photography | Halloween Mini Sessions!
It’s almost that time of year! I’ve had my pumpkin spice candles going for a couple weeks now, so to say I’m ready for fall would definitely be an understatement. Leaves are changing and it’s starting to become colder and colder so let’s get ready for Halloween!
I haven’t done this before, so I’m just trying it out, but this year I’m offering Halloween mini sessions! I want to see some adorable kids in my studio proudly dressed in their costume for the year. I will provide props and this awesome backdrop from Roses and Ruffles pictured below.
If you haven’t already seen me doing pictures of her, this is my awesome daughter who at this point, is pretty comfortable in front of the camera and always willing to model for me.

Anchorage Cake Smash Photographer | "Q" Cake Smash!
I love Alaska. I was born and raised here, so that's probably not a secret. Because we live in such a unique state, I get a lot of requests for Alaskan themed shoots. This one, while not specifically Alaskan, can certainly pass as an Alaska theme. This is a lumberjack themed cake smash!
I got to do little man's newborn photos, so I'm always so happy when parents bring their newborns to me 12 months later to do their 1 year milestone photos, whether its a cake smash session or not. I love seeing how they've grown and getting to see their little personalities. This little lumberjack was so smiley and so happy to share his cake with their family dog. So sweet!

Anchorage Child Photographer | Baby "H" Mermaid Milestone Session
Ok, so in my last blog post, I told you that I had two little mermaids come in to my studio on the same day for identical sessions. This is mermaid session number 2!
I got to do some outdoor photos of this sweet girl when she was 9 months, and I got to see her again for her 1 year photos in studio! The best part of my job is being able to see kids at their milestone sessions so I can see how much they've grown and changed and their little personalities start to show.
This girl rocked her 1 year old shoot and looooooved all the seashells there were to look at.
I could take her pictures all day because can you believe how gorgeous? And those eyelashes are to. die. for.

ANNOUNCING! Name change!
If you follow my page at all, you'll probably notice that something has changed. I've changed my name from Oh So Sweet Photography to Karen Travers Photography.
As I'm starting to get into different areas of photography, I started to feel a little limited by my previous name.
I'm pretty excited about this name change, I've been wanting to do it for a while, but please hang in there while I get things changed around. You can still contact me in all the same ways, through the website, through my Facebook page, and phone number is still the same. The only contact information that is going to change is my direct email address. This will now be:

Eagle River Family Photography | "J" Mommy and Me Session
This is the cutest family. I was contacted before Mother's Day by Hannah's husband, asking for a Mommy and Me session to give as a gift for a Mother's Day present. SO thoughtful! Gifting sessions is such an awesome idea.
We have had a pretty rainy/cloudy summer. But somehow, the sun came out for this session and I swear, a storm rolled in right after we were finished. Whew.
These kids are so sweet, and Hannah is so much fun. We laughed and walked around the park, and even got to chase a few butterflies, and were able to capture some super sweet photos for Hannah to cherish forever.
Eagle River Child Photography | "K" 1 Year Old Zoo Session!
I love doing 1 year old pictures. It's such a fun age, and it doesn't matter if baby is happy or not, all the pictures will be cute. Even the crying, the derp, and the scowls. It's all cute.
However, "K" baby was a happy smiley little guy, and his sweet mom asked for a zoo theme, and because I LOVE themed sessions like this, I took her idea, and ran with it. Right to my sister in law. She immediately had so many ideas and we came up with this set up. She made the super awesome animals you see. The best, I'm telling you.
